American Ballast launches High Ballast Factor (HBF) line

June 17, 2011 - American Ballast has developed a series of high lumen, multi-voltage and energy–efficient ballasts. The High Ballast Factor (HBF) ballast line provides energy costs savings in a wide range of applications, it claims, including retrofit installations or new constructions. With a 1.18 Ballast Factor, the series enables retrofits of a 4-lamp T12 fixture into a 3- or 2-lamp T8 fixture and can be used in high bay fluorescent fixtures, it adds. The company says the high-lumen T8 fixtures incorporate four to eight lamps and can essentially replace many HID applications.
