ASHRAE Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments 3rd ed

November 20, 2012 - Four new data centre classes that can enable full-time economizers for different applications in various climates are included in the 3rd edition of ASHRAE's Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments. According to ASHRAE, the most valuable update to this edition is the inclusion of IT equipment failure rate estimates based on inlet air temperature. Other highlights include new air and liquid equipment classes and expanded thermal envelopes.
