The TRCA has selected Baycrest to open its doors to a green tour with representatives from healthcare organizations in the Greater Toronto Area, Ont.

“Baycrest has become a leader in green initiatives and we’re honored to share what we’ve accomplished with our health care partners,” said Nabil Khalil, manager, Facilities Services. “Sharing knowledge is an important part of greening healthcare and this is an opportunity for the work we’ve done here to have an impact even beyond our campus.”

In 2012, Baycrest was recognized as the facility with the most improvement in energy savings, resulting from the Facilities Services’ Energy Retrofit and Infrastructure Renewal Project, which launched in April 2011. The project has made upgrades to heating, cooling and air-handling units across the campus.
