Call for nominations — 2018 CIPEC Leadership Awards

All CIPEC Leaders—and companies that register now with NRCan as CIPEC Leaders—are eligible to be nominated. Energy efficiency projects or initiatives must have been completed between March 2, 2016 and March 2, 2018.

The CIPEC Leadership Awards fall into the following categories:

Corporate Stewardship
Promotion of energy efficiency at the corporate level such as the creation and engagement of an energy management team or the development of a corporate energy management plan or policy, or the implementation of a formalized management system.

Process and Technology Improvements
Changes to equipment and procedures that reduce the energy intensity of an industrial process.

Energy Performance Management
Enhancement of monitoring, measuring and reporting on facility or company-wide energy consumption and improvement of energy performance.

Employee Awareness and Training
Advancement of employee awareness and understanding of energy efficiency and promotion of best practices through knowledge exchange.

Integrated Energy Efficiency Strategy
Energy efficiency improvement at a facility or company-wide level through a range of initiatives as a result of an integrated strategy.

Future Leaders
Individual contribution to the advancement (theoretical or applied) of industrial energy efficiency in Canada. Nominees must be energy-related practitioners who are either enrolled in an academic institution or have recently graduated (up to five years) and who have completed research or a project pertaining to energy efficiency in the industrial sector.

The CIPEC Leadership Awards ceremony will take place at Energy Summit 2018 — Maximize Profitability through Energy Performance in Vaughn, Ont. on May 30, 2018.
