NRCan offers energy efficiency guide for Food & Drink Industry

December 18, 2012 - NRCan's Office of Energy Efficiency has issued a guide to energy efficiency opportunities in the food & drink industry, prepared by CanmetENERGY’s experts in industrial processes, in collaboration with the Government of Quebec’s Bureau de l’efficacité et de l’innovation énergétiques (BEIE). Some of these measures featured include: improved lighting and utilities, ventilation, new heating modes, and heat pumps. The guide also highlights two energy optimization advanced methods: energy integration to optimize heat recovery and reduce waste heat, and energy monitoring and targeting to track energy use, identify malfunctions and better access the impact of future projects.
