Celebrate CaGBC’s 10th anniversary at national conference and exhibition

January 19, 2012 - This year marks the Canada Green Building Council’s (CaGBC’s) 10th anniversary, and the council wants you to join the celebration at its annual national conference and exhibition, being held in Toronto, June 11-13.

This year’s conference will include:

January 19, 2012  By  Anthony Capkun

• An expected 1000+ delegates
• A 100+ booth tradeshow
• Over 35 education options
• Workshops and site tours
• The CaGBC Gala Dinner and Achievement Awards

The focus for 2012 is “Beyond Buildings: The Green City”. Many cities in Canada would like to accelerate their sustainability agenda through green building, neighbourhood revitalization, affordable housing and sustainable infrastructure development, says CaGBC. “These strategies are complemented by alternative transportation choices, restoration of the natural environment, food security, resilience and green jobs,” adds CaGBC. “At the conference, we’ll bring together the best thinkers, strategists, practitioners and decision-makers to share how we can make The Green City become a reality.”

Registration is expected to open in February.
