CertainTeed releases Solstice solar roofing system

February 25, 2013 - CertainTeed Corporation has introduced the Solstice solar roofing system, featuring rack-mounted photovoltaic (PV) panels which can be installed onto either a low-slope or steep-slope roof. Solstice is available in AC and DC version, and is described as an “attractive, economical solution that provides building professionals with even more options in leveraging the power of the sun to create more sustainable homes and buildings”, by CertainTeed. Each 47-lb module contains 60 monocrystalline solar cells, producing a maximum electric power rating of 250W per module. The system is available in AC and DC versions. Each kit contains the panels, racking, mounting clamps, flashing accessories, inverter and an optional monitoring system.
