September 20, 2018 - Building on the success of its earlier PowerLogic ION7650 meter, Schneider Electric Canada has introduced the ION9000, which it claims is more accurate than any other power quality (PQ) meter on the market.

An on-board PQ analysis tool provides useful information—not just data—in accordance with IEEE 519 and EN 50160 standards, to help ensure safe, reliable and efficient power management for large buildings. Power event analysis automatically correlates related trends, events and waveforms based on time and type of incident. Quick views of energy consumption and network status are available in real time.

The programmable meter and its power management software are also designed to align with today’s cyber security policies for electrical systems, helping to eliminate vulnerabilities for critical assets.

The ION9000 is reportedly the only meter that complies with all three of the latest power quality standards—IEC 61000-4-30, 62586-1 and 62586-2—and is certified 0.1S accurate.
