Pason’s iEMS combines machine learning with historical and real-time information—from such sources as Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, weather metrics, energy market changes and load and generation data—to help optimize ‘value streams’ captured by Eguana’s Elevate. As a result, users receive actionable recommendations and predictions for when and how best to benefit from storing energy.

“With the integration of Pason’s iEMS into our products, we now offer our C&I storage customers a way to perform financial modelling based on actual equipment performance,” says Brent Harris, Eguana’s chief technology officer (CTO). “The computational complexity required to gain meaningful insight is far beyond what humans can do.”

The Elevate energy storage system uses LG Chem lithium-ion batteries and is intended for deployments in small C&I applications. A standard unit offers 15 kW of power and up to 39 kWh of storage within the size of a standard shipping pallet. Multiple units can operate in parallel, providing design flexibility for a range of project sizes.
