Fulham’s Bluetooth Bridge connects LEDs for wireless mesh network

October 19, 2018 – Fulham’s Bluetooth Bridge 0-10V LED controller is the first in a new series of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) components designed to connect lighting fixtures and create a wireless ‘mesh’ network.

The bridge can be installed with any new or retrofitted electrical box or LED fixture to provide wireless dimming control and monitoring. It is interoperable with any Bluetooth-enabled device, allowing it to be commissioned, controlled and monitored with a free Fulham app on Apple iPhone, iPad or other iOS-compatible hardware.

The mesh offers built-in failover and is scalable up to thousands of nodes. Any luminaires fitted with the bridge can be added or removed without disruption to the network. A full-stack communications platform supports Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The bridge is offered in two configurations. Model CTBRCB02JM02 provides wireless on/off and dimming controls for a transmission range up to 50 metres at 2.4 GHz, with sensor input for motion control and daylight harvesting. Model CTBRCB03JM03-PC adds power metering and colour tuning. Both units are designed for indoor or outdoor use at operating temperatures from -40 to 140 F and carry a five-year warranty.
