September 8, 2017 - Legrand announced at CEDIA 2017 that it will integrate its On-Q radiant RF lighting control and wi-fi ready lighting systems with QMotion motorized window shade control. Legrand acquired QMotion Advanced Shading Systems in 2015.

An automatic version 3.0 or later firmware update will enable control of QMotion shades via Legrand’s LC7001 RF lighting controller hub. Through the company’s lighting controller app (available in the iOS and Google Play app stores), corresponding 3.0 updates are available.

This software integration allows integrators and their clients to add shading into their projects without installing new wires or undergoing programming training, Legrand says.

Additionally, through the new software, On-Q radiant and adorne lighting control systems can operate QMotion Zigbee shades connected to the QMotion Qube. Compatible shades include QMotion’s Qadvanced with Zigbee home automation version 1.2 (HA1.2), battery-operated Roller and QMotion Qadvanced intelligent system (QIS) hardwired shades.

“This integration brings together the strengths of two of our leading lines and gives home tech professionals a very attractive, robust and easy-to-install solution for lighting and window shade control within the smart home,” said Fritz Werder, VP/GM of Legrand’s On-Q and Nuvo lines.
