December 17, 2013  By  Alyssa Dalton

CaGBC is growing and you could be part of the excitement. We offer a fast-paced, dynamic work environment in an organization full of talented team players.

Description
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a rating system that is recognized as the international mark of excellence for green building in over 132 countries. Since 2002, the Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) and LEED Canada have been redefining the buildings and communities where Canadians live, work and learn.

LEED projects are changing the nature of building design, construction, and operation, and the LEED Technical Coordinators are at the heart of the certification process. Under the direction of the LEED Program Manager, the LEED Technical Coordinator is part of a quality control team ensuring the accuracy, clarity and consistency of project assessments performed by contracted LEED project review teams. Specifically, this position will help address energy and engineering aspects of the LEED rating systems.

This position requires technical expertise in energy and engineering. Our ideal candidate will be bilingual, with 3 years relevant work experience in the fields of energy modelling, HVAC&R design, energy auditing, commissioning or similar (mechanical engineer or other relevant training). This individual will also have great attention to accuracy and detail and be eager to get a career start with one of Canada’s foremost green not-for-profit associations.
