Enbridge launches 2018/2019 school challenge for tomorrow’s energy managers
November 30, 2018 – For the third year, Enbridge Gas Distribution is challenging students to find ways to save energy at schools across Ontario, with the chance to win cash prizes for their efforts.
November 30, 2018 By Peter Saunders
The challenge has grown over the year to reach both elementary and secondary schools, with the goal of inspiring students to learn more about energy efficiency and to conserve natural gas. Participating students will develop changes associated with their schools’ energy use, report on these activities and measure their progress.
The program’s materials will guide student activities, which in turn will earn points. The top elementary and secondary school with the most points will each receive $3,000, while the second- and third-place schools will each receive $2,000 and $1,000, respectively.
This edition of the Energy School Challenge will run until May 4, 2019.
