The report estimates the growth will be primarily driven by the recovery of the new construction sector. Over the forecast period, demand for stucco and EIFS products will be positively impacted by an increasing focus on energy efficient buildings resulting from the advent and implementation of building codes such as IECC 2012, it added.
“Demand for these products has increased due to the heightened focus on energy conservation and efficiency, the introduction of new building codes with stricter air/water barrier requirements, and government rebates to fund energy saving initiatives,” said Ken Jacobson, partner at Principia.
