The Energy Training Program is in its 13th year and provides eligible employers with 50% of the cost of a salary—up to $7.50 per hour—during a student’s 12 to 17-week employment with the company. Work terms run from May to August.

“We’re supporting employers with specialized employment needs to connect with students preparing to enter into the energy sector,” said acting Energy Minister Michel Samson.

The program has helped 119 Nova Scotia employers hire 306 students and recent graduates.

The deadline to apply is March 20.
