January 15, 2021 – Exploits Valley High School in Newfoundland & Labrador is getting a shot in the arm when it comes to facility improvements, courtesy of $2.7 million.

Ottawa is investing more than $2.2 million, while the province is providing over $550,000 through Covid-19 Resiliency Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

Project work includes upgrading the building envelope and replacing windows, with the aim of improving moisture management and air flow, and better controlling the indoor climate while increasing the school’s energy efficiency.

“It’s important that we allot funding to maintain our schools and public buildings to prevent costlier maintenance,” said Derrick Bragg, Minister of Transportation & Infrastructure for Newfoundland & Labrador.
