GE Lighting CFLs now dimmable to 5%

August 24, 2012 - A new generation of GE Energy Smart and Reveal bulbs boast of bringing smooth dimming capabilities to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). By changing its ballast design to a more simplified version, GE Lighting says it has increased the lamp's power factor, allowing it to dim down to 5%. In addition to the Soft White colors, GE’s new CFL dimmable bulbs will also include Reveal bulbs.
