Honeywell named technology supplier for Nexii buildings

August 5, 2021 – Honeywell and Nexii Building Solutions Inc. have entered a strategic alliance in which Honeywell will serve as the exclusive building technologies supplier for new buildings constructed by Nexii.

“This alliance brings together our decades of building automation experience with Nexii’s novel construction techniques,” said Doug Wright, president & CEO, Honeywell Building Technologies.

The companies will integrate Nexii expertise in building systems with the Honeywell Small and Medium Building Administrator—a building portfolio management system.

Honeywell says the management system can save users up to 30% in facility energy costs, improve visibility into building portfolio performance, and help facility managers optimize occupant comfort, operational performance and safer asset management.

Honeywell will also provide its fire and security systems to support Nexii-constructed buildings.

“Adding Honeywell’s expertise at saving energy through its powerful building management system—as well as improving responses in the case of emergency with its fire and security products—will enhance the value proposition for Nexii customers,” said Stephen Sidwell, co-founder and CEO, Nexii.

Nexii building panels are manufactured offsite and come together onsite; the company says this process accelerates standard build times by 50% to 75%, and eliminates “significant construction waste”.
