Hopper and Phillips are in the doghouse thanks to CertainTeed

December 15, 2015 - Celebrity-built doghouses and $2500 Lowe’s gift cards await Victoria Hopper of Chatham-Kent, Ont., and Jackie Phillips of Lethbridge, Alta., the winners of CertainTeed’s “Get into the Doghouse with CertainTeed Insulation” contest.

Hopper wins a blue doghouse with gingerbread trim and bright red door built by Kate Campbell, while Phillips wins Damon Bennett’s rustic cabin-style design with bone-shaped front deck. Both winners also receive a Lowe’s gift card.

CertainTeed brought together celebrity contractors Campbell and Bennett in a friendly competition to build the ultimate insulated doghouse as a way to show homeowners “the importance of insulation in protecting their families—including the furry family members—against Canada’s extreme temperatures”.

“We wanted to engage all members of the Canadian family in a fun and unique way to talk about the tangible benefits of our insulation products,” said Marlon Thompson, marketing product manager for CertainTeed Insulation. “We had a great time working on this campaign with Kate, Damon and Lowe’s, and are happy to see that the families enjoyed it as well!”

The doghouse campaign was launched at Lowe’s stores across Canada, and the public was invited to vote for their favourite doghouse for a chance to win both it and a $2500 Lowe’s gift card.
