“Over 42% of our customers are telling us that they anticipate a 5% change in electricity consumption due to implementing electricity conservation measures. These events provide practical information to those in charge of operations and facilities management,” said Scott Miller, director of Regulatory Affairs & Communications. “They can implement these smart energy solutions to reduce their costs.”

The information breakfast also provided business customers with updates on the current electricity market from IESO (Independent Electricity System Operator), firsthand business energy conservation testimonials from their peers and the latest program updates from Hydro One Brampton.

A tradeshow following the award presentations allowed customers to visit energy solution providers who work with companies to help optimize energy usage specifically through Ontario Power Authority’s (OPA’s) saveONenergy programs.
