Hydro-Quebec welcomes new members to Energy Savers’ Circle
March 15, 2016 - Hydro-Quebec is highlighting the results and efforts of 10 Quebec companies and institutions in energy efficiency, welcoming nine new members into its Energy Savers’ Circle.

The circle “unites energy efficiency leaders in Quebec”; these organizations demonstrated their commitment by reducing their annual energy consumption by at least 5% or 50GWh, explains the utility. They also adopted an energy efficiency policy and designated a party to be responsible for it.

Hydro-Quebec singled out Rio Tinto Aluminium for reaching Distinction Level by achieving “the highest standards in energy efficiency”. The company reduced its annual energy consumption by 343GWh.
Created in 2005, Hydro-Quebec’s Energy Savers’ Circle now has 88 members, which include companies and institutions.
