ICF International wins $12M energy efficiency contract with Pepco Holdings

January 9, 2012 - ICF International, a provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a $12-million contract to support the energy efficiency portfolio for Pepco Holdings Inc., subsidiaries Pepco and Delmarva Power. The contract has a term of 40 months.

Through this contract, ICF aims to promote increased energy efficiency in the residential consumer market through programs for lighting and appliances, heating and cooling, new construction, home energy audits, and home performance. ICF said it will educate homeowners, HVAC and home improvement trade allies, home builders, and various stakeholders regarding the energy savings benefits and value of Energy Star and higher energy efficiency standards.

“Residential energy efficiency is an important part of our client’s annual energy savings goals,” said Mike Mernick, senior vice president for ICF International. “ICF’s proven approach to comprehensively developing the market drives customer participation while simultaneously building the local technical infrastructure to help deliver program services.
