Leviton has announced a strategic alliance with EFT Energy, a supplier of enterprise energy monitoring and reporting software, and Obvius, a provider of “cost-effective, easy-to-use” solutions for collecting energy information. Combined with Leviton's complete line of submetering and energy management products and worldwide distribution and sales channels, the alliance will allow Leviton to offer its customers the “most complete line of revenue grade submeters with the ability to generate comprehensive reports and energy use information,” said the companies.

Jim Lewis, CEO of Obvius, described the alliance as an essential next step to satisfy customer demand.

“With the addition of Obvius’ data acquisition technology, Leviton can now offer a fully integrated, single source energy management solution to their established distribution channel. We are excited to reach such a large audience with a scalable solution that helps customers manage their energy usage.”

In addition to its current line, Leviton now offers solutions to meet all measurement and verification-based opportunities such as smart metering, load management and LEED rating achievement, it said.

“Our continued expansion into the measurement and verification market supports our customers’ efforts to validate and optimize the performance of their systems in pursuit of LEED credits and reduced energy use,” said Richard Westfall, vice president and general manager for Leviton’s Lighting and Energy Solutions. “This positions Leviton as a single source solution by providing an integrated approach for tracking, monitoring, reporting and verifying lighting consumption and energy use and implementing cost and carbon footprint reduction.”

“We are very excited about partnering with Leviton. Integrating EFT’s fifth generation Energy Manager software with Leviton’s electric meters provides a very compelling product offering,” added Craig Ennis, CEO and founder of EFT Energy. “EFT software is a powerful and easy to use solution that will allow Leviton’s customers to monitor, analyze and manage energy usage in real time.”
