Leviton debuts VerifEye 4000 industrial-class smart meter

August 26, 2014 - Leviton has expanded its line of VerifEye submetering solutions with the 4000 Industrial ModBus smart meter. Promising exceptional performance and easy installation for three-phase systems, the 4000 submetering kits offer a turnkey solution for measuring and verifying electrical usage in cost-allocation and energy-conservation applications, says the company. Engineered for demanding environmental requirements, the series operates in temperatures of -30C to 70C and a voltage range of 90V to 600V, including 347V (L-N) and 600V (L-L). In addition to split core current transformers (CTs), it offers Rogowski rope-style CTs for ratings of 20A-5000A in a variety of lengths. When used with Leviton’s Energy Management Hub (EMH), users can integrate with VerifEye’s web-based or PC-based software platforms, which allow a building owner or facility manager to allocate energy inefficiencies in real-time, it explains. The series is UL Listed, cULus and ANSI C12.20 certified.
