LumenOptix names Govi Rao to Board of Directors
November 4, 2011 - LumenOptix LLC has announced that Govi Rao has joined its Board of Directors. He presently serves as president and CEO of Noveda Technologies, a company that specializes in web-based real-time energy monitoring systems. Prior to joining Noveda, Rao was most recently chairman of Lighting Science Group Corporation.

In April 2011, he was honoured by the Liberty Science Center for his dedication to improving commercial-scale energy sustainability.
Described as a “pioneering leader of sustainability across several industries” by LumenOptix, Rao brings more than 15 years of global business experience to the board, including leadership roles in the lighting industry, building products, specialty chemicals, and coatings.
“Govi’s passion for energy sustainability and his deep experience in global acquisition, strategic alliances and technology commercialization makes him an invaluable asset,” said Jay Goodman, CEO of LumenOptix.
According to the company, the Board of Directors has made a strategic decision this year to hire the “best of the best” from throughout the lighting manufacturing community.
