Manitoba Hydro announces bill credit rebates on appliances
February 14, 2018 — Until February 28, 2018, bill credit rebates are available from Manitoba Hydro for select energy efficient washers, dryers, fridges and smart thermostats.

The EnerGuide label on appliances determines if they meet the minimum levels for energy efficiency in Canada. The Energy Star label is placed on certified high efficiency appliances that are 10-50% more efficient than regular appliances.
Energy Star Most Efficient labels identify the “best of the best” in their product class, Manitoba Hydro adds. Typically these are the models that will qualify for a rebate. Bill credit rebates are available for eligible smart thermostats and appliances purchased between November 1, 2017 and February 28, 2018.
