FlowIQ smart water meter earns Frost & Sullivan award
March 25, 2019 - Kamstrup Water Metering, a subsidiary of the Danish company Kamstrum A/S, has won Frost & Sullivan’s North American Customer Value Leadership Award in recognition of its FlowIQ ultrasonic ‘smart’ water meter.

The product reportedly boasts a low flow capture of 0.015, compared to its competitors’ 0.03, and its composite polymer construction helps make it resistant to dirt, magnetism and condensation. Wireless M-Bus reading capabilities allow it to alert utilities of leaks, pipe bursts, tampering, reverse flow and dryness.
Due to its ultrasonic technology, the meter contains no moving parts. It is expected to last more than 20 years.
After setting up its North American manufacturing facility in Roswell, Ga., Kamstrup has since opened offices in Canada to expand its system sales territory.
