Panasonic strengthens ECOi EX series with 460V system
February 14, 2017 - Panasonic Appliances Air-Conditioning North America has introduced the latest entry in the ECOi EX series: the 460V unit, designed for commercial use.

With improved design and ease of installation, Panasonic says the ECOi is the solution that can grow with any building project. New to the series, is the 3-way ECOi VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) Heat Recovery system, boasting increased heating output, lower installation costs and ECONAVI (Human Detection Technology), according to the company.
Redesigned for 2017, Panasonic’s ECOi EX heat recovery outdoor units offer an adaptable HVAC solution for any building project and features dual inverter- twin rotary compressors with an IEER rating of up to 28.5 and a SCHE rating up to 30.2. The heat recovery system offers added flexibility of simultaneous heating and cooling from one refrigerant pipe network, the company adds. This means that the 460V ECOi system can provide heating and/or cooling to different zones in the same building at the same time.
Panasonic is also expanding its systems to 10 and 12 tons. With its larger sizes, Panasonic is able to provide system combinations of up to 24 tons with just two units and offer triple chassis combinations up to 30 tons.
