Meet the new Universal Douglas Lighting Americas Inc.

March 23, 2021 – Atar Capital has acquired Panasonic’s American Lighting Division, consisting of Universal Lighting Technologies Inc. and Douglas Lighting Controls Inc.

The two will now be known as Universal Douglas Lighting Americas Inc.

Universal manufactures LED lighting solutions for the commercial market, while Douglas develops control systems for commercial buildings, campuses and sports complexes.

“We appreciate [Atar’s] support as we pursue new opportunities in the enabled digital IoT market,” said Ty Anderson, UDLA president.

The new company will maintain HQ locations in both and Burnaby, B.C., and Nashville, Tenn.
