Modern Forms unveils Nirvana ‘smart fan’

January 31, 2019 – The new Nirvana smart fan from Modern Forms can be controlled via radio-frequency (RF) wall panel or mobile app, so adjustments to save energy can be made from anywhere.

The wet-rated indoor/outdoor fan is powered by a DC motor (reportedly 70% more efficient than traditional AC motors) and features an LED luminaire from WAC Lighting. It can connect with additional RF wall controls and synchronize with Modern Forms’ app for scheduling and integration with other smart devices (including Google Assistant, Amazon Echo, Samsung SmartThings, Nest and Ecobee), allowing multiple users to securely program it. Voice commands can turn the fan and luminaire on and off, change speeds, reverse blade rotation and dim the lighting.

The aluminum fan is available in four finishes. Patent-pending functionality also allows for multiple fans on one circuit.
