3M Canada names Lars Hanseid president and GM
September 10, 2018 - 3M Canada has appointed Lars Hanseid president and general manager (GM), retroactively effective July 1, 2018. He succeeds Mojdeh Poul, who is now executive vice-president (EVP) of 3M's safety and graphics business group.

Hanseid has 30 years’ international experience with 3M, most recently serving as vice-president (VP) for Central East Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has held a vareity of management and executive roles with the company in Norway, Belgium, Denmark, Poland, Russia and the U.S. Now, he will lead its Canadian operations, headquartered in London, Ont., where approximately 800 of its 1,900 employees are based.
“This is an exciting moment to be leading 3M Canada,” he says. “Our team is using science to solve real-world problems, from our research and development (R&D) laboratories to eight manufacturing locations across the country, where we turn ideas into reality using sustainable processes and clean technologies.”
