February 11, 2019 – Electrical products provider Wesco International has entered a definitive agreement to acquire assets of Sylvania Lighting Solutions (SLS) from Osram Sylvania. The transaction is expected to close in March.

SLS offers energy-efficient lighting systems for upgrades, retrofits and renovations. Headquartered in Wilmington, Mass., the business employs 220 people across Canada and the U.S. Under the terms of the agreement, Wesco will acquire these operations and current SLS CEO Todd Myers will continue to lead the organization.

"We are very pleased to welcome the SLS team,” says John J. Engel, chair, president and CEO of Wesco. “Their customer base, geographic footprint and extensive project management capabilities complement our existing turnkey lighting renovation and retrofit offerings."
