Now, these types of buildings can commit to reducing that number over the next four years by signing up for the Manitoba Race to Reduce.

Manitoba Race to Reduce is a chance to make an impact in energy reduction. Join this friendly corporate challenge to reduce your greenhouse gas emissions and your energy costs by improving efficiency in office buildings throughout Manitoba. The race is open to all landlords and tenants in buildings of any age, size or use.

Manitoba Race to Reduce is modeled after Race to Reduce, launched in Toronto by CivicAction in 2011.

The program provides a plan of action, a tool kit of technical advice and relevant case study intelligence to help organizations increase awareness of their energy use; measure and monitor their energy use; and change the way they operate equipment to increase energy efficiency. The objective is to reduce participants’ energy consumption by 10% over four years.
