January 29, 2018 — Jim Carr, Minister of Natural Resources, has announced a $182 million investment to increase energy efficiency by improving how homes and buildings are designed, renovated and constructed.

January 11, 2018 - The first year of Ontario’s cap & trade program is behind us, and participating energy users are getting used to carbon inventories and applying for allowances. Four auctions were held to sell credits for participants who had, or anticipate having, an allowances deficit. The organization says this is in an efffort to increase the speed of application processing and to expedite post-installation site inspections for the Business, Non-Profit and Institutional Energy Savings Program.
December 20, 2017 —The Government of Canada has announced it will provide over $1 billion from the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund over the next five years to six provinces.
December 14, 2017 — The Canadian Industry Partnership for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) and NRCan have put out a call for nominations for the 2018 CIPEC Leadership Awards. Nominate your company, a member of the industry or a future leader by March 2, 2018.
December 13, 2017 — According to a new Leaderboard Report from Navigant Research, Schneider Electric, Siemens and Ameresco are the leading energy service companies (ESCOs).
December 12, 2015 — The BC Energy Step Code will come into legal force on December 15. On that same day, any green-building bylaws that B.C. cities may be using to regulate energy efficiency (i.e. BuiltGreen, Energy Star) will be rendered unenforceable.
