The new Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health & Wellness has been designed with improved lighting power density, lighting controls and high-efficiency HVAC equipment, including air handlers with ERV (energy recovery ventilation) technology. These systems allow the building to perform substantially better than other comparable facilities in both electricity and gas usage, says Alectra.

Through the saveONenergy High Performance New Construction program, the facility received an incentive of $523,696 for the project, plus an additional $85,616 for the design requirements needed to achieve these goals.

“Alectra is proud to recognize the William Osler Health System’s vision to create an energy-efficient facility […]” said Mark Henderson with Alectra Energy Solutions.
