December 6, 2012 - Jaga Climate Systems has unveiled the Vertiga heating and cooling system, which is made entirely from renewable components, including its exterior sheath made from soybean stalks. The Vertiga promotes linear air flow rather than a top down circulation system, and the radiator is equipped with two lateral air heat exchangers with copper tubes and aluminum fins aquifers. It works with condensing boilers and heat pumps to help maximize comfort by quickly reaching the desired temperature, adds Jaga.JAGA CLIMATE SYSTEMS
November 20, 2012 - Four new data centre classes that can enable full-time economizers for different applications in various climates are included in the 3rd edition of ASHRAE's Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments. According to ASHRAE, the most valuable update to this edition is the inclusion of IT equipment failure rate estimates based on inlet air temperature. Other highlights include new air and liquid equipment classes and expanded thermal envelopes.ASHRAE
October 30, 2012 - Sullair has expanded its line of V250S single-stage rotary screw air compressors with Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology. The compressors now offer a choice of three VSD models ranging from 250 to 350 HP, with capacities of 1085 to 1580 cfm, and pressures of 100 to 125 psig. According to Sullair, the VSD system is designed to match compressor speed with air demand for maximum operating efficiency and lower energy costs, while reducing stress on electrical and mechanical components for longer equipment life. October 22, 2012 - Jaga Climate Systems is now offering its energy-efficient climate control products in what it's calling Ontario’s first and only hydronic technology showroom. Open to contractors, engineers, architects and anyone interested in heating and cooling systems, the training and display space, developed and designed by MITS AirConditioning and Mech Tech Mktg. is located in Mississauga.
October 19, 2012 - Broan-NuTone has expanded its line of Broan and NuTone Ultra fans and fan/lights with the addition of 16 Ultra Sense models. Available in single- and multi-speed models, the fans and fan/lights with Ultra Sense operate and adjust fan speed based on changes in humidity or motion. The new models also feature Ultra Sense M motion sensing technology (multi-speed only), where a sensor turns multi-speed fans to High when someone walks into the room and reduces fan speed to Low after a user-adjustable time delay. The Ultra Sense models also include the Ultra Green Energy-Saving DC motor, featuring high speed for spot ventilation and adjustable continuous CFM settings.BROAN-NUTONE
October 1, 2012 - Jaga Canada describes its new Mini Canal radiator as the perfect solution for multiple stories or areas with limited space. The Mini Canal’s under-floor design allows only the grill to be visible. Under the grill is a fast Low-H2O element, which conserves more energy while emitting maximum heat, says Jaga. The product is also available with Jaga’s Dynamic Boost Effect (DBE) technology. JAGA CANADA
September 6, 2012 - Legrand is offering infrastructure solutions for new and existing healthcare facilities, ranging from hospital-grade receptacles and electrical vehicle chargers to digital lighting management and specialized cable management systems. The various solutions are designed to help facility managers maximize building performance and improve patient experience. Wire, cable and energy management solutions are available for building-wide maintenance, as well as solutions for specific spaces, including patient rooms, nursing stations, laboratories, and data centres.LEGRAND
August 3, 2012 - Cerus Industrial has enhanced its P-Series line of variable frequency drives (VFDs) with a new redundant VFD unit, the first product of its type to be offered as a standard product, it claims. The Cerus Redundant Drive Panel (RDP) is designed to maintain full HVAC motor control in the event of a failure, such as lightning strikes and power surges. According to Cerus, every precaution has been taken to isolate each drive and help protect the functionality of the working VFD. THE VFDs are available in versions ranging from 1HP to 125HP.
