ThyssenKrupp Elevator launches Energy Calculator 2.0

October 8, 2011 - ThyssenKrupp Elevator Americas’ says its Energy Calculator 2.0 offers building owners, facility managers, elevator consultants and architects technical assistance when assessing the efficiency of elevator technologies for both new construction and modernization projects. The new version offers the following features: a side-by-side elevator comparison; a currency selection option; a kWh rate option; descriptions of drive types; a calculate button; an updated appearance; and a CO2 reduction calculation. The side-by-side elevator comparison allows the user to view different technologies for new installation or different generations of technologies for modernization at the same time. This view also makes it possible to do on-screen comparisons of minor tweaks, including lighting type changes and speed differences for optimum energy conservation.
