October 3, 2022 – “The start of heating season is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere,” writes Gregory Leng, adding that “RETScreen software can be used to model the sizeable energy savings, carbon reductions and financial viability of solar air heating systems.”

“Solar air-heating systems are widely used across Canada, the U.S. and other parts of the world to pre-heat incoming ventilation air on buildings and factories,” explains Leng, creator of the RETScreen Clean Energy Management Software platform. “The solar thermal collectors can typically reduce heating bills and natural gas usage by up to 30%,” adds Leng.

RETScreen Expert is a comprehensive Clean Energy Management Software platform that enables professionals and decision-makers to identify and assess the viability of potential energy efficiency, renewable energy and co-generation projects. It is also used to measure and verify the actual and ongoing energy performance of buildings, factories and power plants around the world.
