Sessions will cover a range of ideas and incentives that include: hydronics, refrigeration and compressed air, Regulation 397, data centre load and cooling, LED lighting and HVAC. All this is taking place tomorrow at the Toronto Congress Centre.

Attendees will learn about new and emerging technologies, and available incentive programs for their electricity-efficiency projects. As well, all organizations in the municipal, academic social and healthcare (MASH) sector will be required (under the Green Energy Act) to provide energy audits and carbon measurements of their buildings. Ontario Regulation 397/11 will change how businesses and organizations operate. The ideas at this conference can be quickly implemented into 2013 capital budgets and plans for 2014 initiatives, say organizers.

Some of the noteworthy speakers include:

• Phil McNeely, parliamentary assistant to minister of environment
• Andrew Pride, vice-president conservation, Ontario Power Authority
• Chris Tyrrell, vice-president and chief conservation officer, Toronto Hydro
• Raegan Bond, vice-president conservation, PowerStream
• Barry Beale, director, energy efficiency and innovative technology, Ontario Ministry of Energy.
