Leviton expanded its VerifEye line of submetering products with the Series 7000 and 7100 advanced branch circuit monitors, which offer dynamic electrical load management for commercial and industrial retrofit applications, for the purpose of helping users better conserve energy and manage costs.

The meters support industry-standard communications protocols, including RS-485, BACnet MS/TP and IP, Modbus TCP and Ethernet. They can monitor current, voltage, instantaneous power, demand and energy consumption for up to 48 independent, user-defined circuits on a single panelboard, including the main feed. Users can track consumption for individual tenants, departments and pieces of equipment, among other loads, and configure alarm thresholds.

“The new meters allow customers to capture hundreds of data points from a variety of different circuits,” says Troy Hull, director of measurement and verification for Leviton’s energy management controls and automation products.

The Series 7000 is designed for integration into a panel for embedded applications, with an option for a display. The Series 7100 incorporates both a display and a NEMA 1 enclosure.
