Warmup Ultralight insulation boards for electric underfloor heating

April 6, 2021 – Warmup Ultralight insulation is designed specifically for use with electric underfloor heating, offering insulating, heat-spreading and decoupling benefits in a 1/4-in. thick board.

The Ultralight surface features a synthetic fabric layer as well as a heat-spreading aluminum layer to promote even heat distribution to eliminate cold spots. The PEF insulation core provides thermal separation from the subfloor, promoting better heat transfer upward to where it is needed.

The PEF layer reduces heat-up times by 76 minutes on slabs, and reduces the energy required for heat-up by 69%, says Warmup, adding that the heat-spreading aluminum layer allows floors to achieve the same comfort temperature with 12% less energy.
