VIDEO: Energy Storage vs Generators in Ontario

On Nov. 26, Energy Manager hosted an online webinar in collaboration with Convergent Energy + Power.
Energy Manager Canada’s Anthony Capkun hosted Robin Gray, SVP of Engineering and Project Development for Convergent E+P along with Toby Tiktinsky, Convergent’s SVP of Business Development, to learn about the various technological considerations of energy storage versus generators.
The webinar had several learning objectives, including the technical considerations for evaluating energy storage to reduce Global Adjustment charges, the pros and cons of both energy storage and generators as well as interconnecting behind-the-meter (BTM) battery energy storage systems (BESS) and working with LDCs.
