Air King introduces AKF100D Deluxe Quiet dual speed exhaust fan

February 28, 2011

Air King claims its new AKF100D Deluxe Quiet dual speed exhaust fan with light provides cost-effective, energy-efficient ventilation at low level sounds. “Ashrae 62.2 ventilation can be accomplished by using the HVI-certified low speed of 50 CFM at 0.3 sones (barely audible) for continuous ventilation of the home and the HVI-certified high speed of 100CFM at 1.5 sones for when the room is occupied and in need of additional ventilation power,” it says. The Energy Star-qualified fan features a contoured, low profile grill design with a moonstone glass light lens said to disperse light evenly throughout the room, and includes a 26W-energy efficient fluorescent lamp and a 4W-nightlight. It is ETL listed for installation over a tub or shower on a GFCI circuit.
