“Investment in this new and expanded service centre demonstrates ATCO’s commitment to Stettler, our customers and the environment,” said Bobbi Lambright, president, ATCO Electric Distribution. “The new, energy-efficient facility will allow us to achieve greater levels of operational efficiency and customer service as we continue to grow with a community we’ve been part of for 85 years.”
The new facility centralizes and streamlines ATCO Electric’s Stettler operations, with more than 60 employees from three separate locations, including a new complement of surveyors, mechanics and land agents now working under one roof. The new centre has the capacity to house up to 80 employees.
Additional sustainable features include a high-performance HVAC system and triple-glazed windows. The building’s water fixtures will reduce average water consumption by an estimated 30%. In addition, rainwater will be captured on the roof for re-use in the wash bays.
