Deadline extended for Energy Manager of the Year awards

The Nominations for Energy Manager Canada’s inaugural Energy Manager of the Year awards are streaming in ... but have we received your Nomination? Rabba to reduce electricity bills and emissions with rooftop solar

Rabba Fine Foods, a Greater Toronto Area grocery store chain, is installing solar panels on the roofs of its two distribution centres with the aim of reducing its dependence on the grid while lowering operating costs and carbon emissions. The grocer has partnered with Green Integrations, which will design, engineer, and build the systems solar PV systems, with an expected operation date of November 2023.

With 70GWh production capacity, Hithium delivers significant battery advances

Having achieved top positioning for stationary batteries in its home market of China, including supplying the largest standalone ESS plant in the country, manufacturer Hithium entered North America with a view to supporting the region’s clean energy boom. As the market builds out, energy storage is essential to stabilising renewable power supply.

Located in Ningxia, China’s biggest standalone energy storage power station has a capacity of 400MWh and output of 1.33 billion kWh per year and features Hithium’s immersion liquid-cooling technology. Further Hithium product innovations reduced the floor area for this power station by 35%, thus significantly lowering LCOS.
