The challenge is on now until August 23, 2013.
“The saveONenergy Small Business program is a win-win for local businesses and for our community. Already 7,000 small businesses have participated,” said Bryce Conrad, president and CEO of Hydro Ottawa. “These programs help businesses manage their energy consumption and contribute to a conservation culture in our community and are free of charge to the small businesses.”
Visit www.HydroOttwa.com for challenge details. Participation will be tracked online and the ward with the highest percentage participation will be recognized and promoted.
According to Hydro Ottawa, from 2005 to 2011, residential and business customers in Ottawa saved 500 million kW/h.
The saveONenergy Small Business Challenge is funded by the Ontario Power Authority (OPA).
