Schneider launches Square D smart home-enabled wiring devices

July 26, 2021 – Now available in Canada, Schneider Electric’s Square D wiring devices are available in two aesthetics. The X Series switches offer interchangeable face covers, while the connectivity features provide personalization and comfort, and help save energy.

The XD Series is described as a “premium range” of cover plates that mount easily onto X Series switches and receptacles. They can be changed over time without changing the device or exposing the wiring.

The devices connect via Wi-Fi or Z-Wave, allowing users to control their lights remotely using the Wiser Home app (which offers integration with Alexa and Google Home). The wiring devices are available in multiple matte finish colour options.
