Armstrong adds Active Performance Management software to flow equipment

January 17, 2019 – Toronto-based flow equipment manufacturer Armstrong Fluid Technology has designed Active Performance Management software to learn, predict, automatically adjust and make optimization recommendations for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) efficiency.

The company claims the on-board software, if installed in conjunction with equipment upgrades and consulting services, can improve energy efficiency in HVAC systems by more than 40%.

“It enables our equipment to go further than conventional industry practices and address changing situations, such as system degradation or performance drift, in real time,” explains Pratik Sharma, Armstrong’s global director of building services and performance management. “This capability provides a savings opportunity no other contemporary solution can match.”
