Barry Weinbaum becomes new president and CEO at Lumenergi
February 14, 2012 - Barry Weinbaum has been named president and CEO of Lumenergi, a provider of network-controlled lighting energy management solutions.

He joins the company with a career highlighted by more than 30 years in high-tech markets and experience in venture-backed, entrepreneurial companies. His technology experience spans communications, nanotechnology, electronics components, consumer products, semiconductors, software, wireless and lighting. Lumenergi is his third venture-capital backed company.
“Under Barry’s leadership, we look forward to scaling our business while delivering the simplicity of lighting management and superior quality that our NetLight lighting control systems offer our customers,” said company founder, CTO and board chair C.R. “Steve” Stevens.
According to the company, Lumenergi’s NetLight product family enables up to 70% lighting energy savings and a streamlined installation process that preserves customers’ investments in lighting infrastructure.
“From its roots as an innovator of the first dimming fluorescent ballasts to its advanced suite of open-platforms that support most forms of lighting and smart-grid, future-ready, lighting management solutions, Lumenergi is a company on the verge of changing the conversation regarding lighting controls for commercial and industrial facilities,” said Weinbaum.
He most recently served as VP of strategic marketing at Acuity Brands. From 2008-2010, he was the CEO of LED Luminaire upstart Renaissance Lighting, leading the sale of the company to Acuity Brands.
