Bonduelle embarks on process integration study to reduce consumption
February 16, 2021 By Anthony Capkun

February 16, 2021 – Bonduelle Canada Inc., a purveyor ready-to-use vegetables, received a $24,000 boost from Ottawa to improve its St-Denis-sur-Richelieu facility.
The facility will undergo a process integration study that will recommend energy-efficiency improvements for reducing energy consumption.
Federal funding is provided by the Energy Efficiency for Industry Program, which offers financial assistance to help fund Canadian industrial facilities’ energy management projects.
Énergir, the Quebec natural gas distribution company, also contributed to the project, bringing the total investment to nearly $50,000.
“Through its energy-efficiency programs, Énergir is proud to help seek out innovative solutions to encourage customers to use less energy, and to use it more wisely,” said Énergir’s Valérie Sapin. “With this initiative, Bonduelle is demonstrating leadership by taking steps to further decarbonize its operations and make major strides toward meeting GHG reduction targets.”
